EFL Championship is rated as the 7th best league in Europe. Premier League (England), Bundesliga (Germany), Primera (Spain), Ligue 1 (France), Serie A (Italy) and Eredivisie (Holland) are the only to be seen as better places to play.
You can even qualify for play in Europe if you win FA Cup or Carabao Cup titles, so to just jump a ship due to relegation has no real value.
Players playing regularly at Championship level will be considered for international duty for almost any nation, as their level of performances will be more than good enough to compete with other players on international duty. If you look at the teams in the low end of tables of most leagues, they are not much better than the top team in EFL Championship.
Wout Faes and Kelechi Iheanacho are just two examples of players still at Leicester that are now included in their respecitve national squads, and you have also have Wilfred Ndidi (Nigeria), Danny Ward (Wales), Mads Hermansen (Denmark), Harry Souttar (Australia) and Patson Daka (Zambia) out on full international duty.
You also have full internationals in the development squad, Deniche Hill representing Bermuda and Brandon Cover just recently making his debut for Jamaica.
Hopefully Leicester will be a place that continues to bring value to players of different nations being able to represent their full national teams, best of luck.
